As I was about to leave this afternoon, the electricity flickered, but stayed on. I soon found out what caused it. As I was going on my errands, I noticed a low hanging powerline. As I got closer, I saw what caused this – a semi truck was on the side of the road. Obviously it was too tall to clear the power lines. After I got done with my errands, I returned home. My internet connection was out for a couple of hours. I’m sure it was caused by the semi hitting the powerline. Sometimes stupid people do stupid things. Sometimes it can’t be helped. However the road that the semi was on was very narrow. I don’t think a semi had any business being on that road at any time.

Now with pop up windows.
***Now with pop up windows.*** As much as I hate pop up windows, I’ve decided to implement them in this website. You’ll see the post below contains links to pictures which will appear in pop up windows. Hopefully this will enhance this website.
Ok, now on with my rant. Ever notice how people put really annoying nicknames in their MSN Messenger? Right now I see that “UHH OHH It Aint My Fault” is away. And who’s fault is it that UHH OHH is away? There’s really no need to put these annoying little worn out cliches in your display name on MSN. Put your real name or a well known nickname. Note to MSN: Please make it where we can supress this annoying little feature of MSN Messenger.

Things Found on the Side of the Road
Here are some of the things I have found on the side of my road during the past few days.
I kept the scooter and beach ball. The cat is still available if anyone wants it. The scooter was found practically in my yard. I kept watch on it for a few days before finally claiming it. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t taking some little kid’s transportation. The beach ball was in the creek that runs by my house. It is slightly muddy, but has not deflated.

Burger King Religion
Church gets sued by former member who had an unwanted exorcism…Let this be a lesson for churches: Do not perform exorcisms without written consent of the exorcisee, or you could be headed toward a lawsuit.
The best of Burger King religion…have it your way…it’s always troubling when people tend to bend the rules for convenience sake. (For those of you who don’t remember, Burger King had a slogan a while back which said “Have it your way at Burger King now.” “Burger King Religion” is the default term I use whenever someone blatently disregards biblical standards).
Nothing Has Happened
Man wins SUV by living in it for 23 days…definitely something I wouldn’t do. I do not have the time nor the patience. Read the article. It says they couldn’t throw away their trash, so the vehicle became pretty nasty by the end of the 23 days.
New Photo of the Moment has been posted. Not anything to write home about. Funny nonetheless.
If you see that I’ve missed a day or two in my weblog, you can assume one or more thing happened:
- Nothing happened worth talking about
- I was too busy/away from the computer
Well the Oscars are on tonight and I could care less. Usually the films nominated I haven’t heard of and/or haven’t seen. This is year is a small exception since I’ve seen Lord of the Rings – which I didn’t care for. Too long and borning. In the same realm of the Emperor’s New Clothes, everyone thinks LOTR is the best movie in ages, yet I seem to think this movie has lots of eye candy, but little substance. The director incorrectly assumed that the average viewer already has read the books and knows alot of background on the movie. In that aspect the film is too complex.
My sister’s webpage
My sister’s webpage was featured in Education World. Congrats to her. Her philosophy is the exact opposite of mine. Whereas she wants people to view her website, I’d rather not have complete strangers to view mine.
In other news….
Time Warner says no to its own AOL Mail…this doesn’t surprise me any. I’ve used AOL’s mail before. It is very inadequate. For example it tends to delete week old unread messages. So if you go on vacation for more than a week, you will loose some of your mail. Also you cannot forward your mail to another service such as a web based account. AOL will not automatically hyperlink URLs (http:// addresses) within the text of the email. AOL users have to cut and paste a URL into their browser in order to view a webpage.
After a few years, anyone still with AOL is just with them out of pure habit or they are so entrenched in their email, they don’t want to change addresses.
HP Compaq vote merger will be counted by hand…how ironic. You’d think that 2 high tech companies could secure some type of vote by proxy service on the web. Yet, HP and Compaq are still living in the 19th century with this vote counting by hand…. all 900,000 votes.
Yassir Arafat is still ugly as sin.
Comments Fix
Well I finally figured out how to make the number of comments display on this main page. Looks like everything works now. Thanks to Mark for the heads up! Wanna know how to do comments on your weblog? Go to this page for the scoop. However you must have access to a PHP enabled web server (most freebie hosts are not PHP enabled).
Homepage watch: Looks like Scott Burka has added a new section to his homepage – Scott Facts. One thing that Scott forgot to include is that Scott speaks of himself in the 3rd person.
